About the Role

CleverTap is inviting applications for a Legal Intern to support its in-house legal and contracting team. This role suits candidates interested in commercial contracting, SaaS agreements, technology law, and compliance frameworks.

Duration: 6 months, extendable up to 12 months at the company’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Review legal documents, agreements, and commercial contracts.
• Analyze vendor papers, customer agreements, and standard contractual terms.
• Assist in reviewing SOWs, Order Forms, MSAs, NDAs, and related legal documents.
• Conduct legal research on contract clauses, compliance requirements, and risk assessment.
• Provide redlines and recommendations for contract improvements.
• Support updates to SaaS subscription terms, liability clauses, data-privacy terms, and termination clauses.
• Maintain and organize legal templates, documentation, and the contract repository.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Law students in the 4th or final year of the 5-year program or 2nd or final year of the 3-year LL.B. program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Good to Have

• Prior exposure to drafting or interpreting contracts.
• Preference for candidates with experience handling SaaS, technology, or IT-services-related agreements.
