About the Moot Court Competition
The School of Law at GD Goenka University is proud to host the Seventh Edition of the GD Goenka – CIArb (India) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition from February 14 to 16, 2025. This prestigious event is designed to enhance the standards of Clinical Legal Education in India, offering a transformative experience that blends theoretical knowledge with practical legal problem-solving.
At its core, the competition fosters critical thinking and sharpens analytical skills as participants delve into intricate legal challenges and craft compelling arguments. Mooting not only cultivates professional decorum and advocacy excellence but also emphasizes collaboration, as teams must work cohesively to present well-rounded cases.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to students enrolled in full-time 3-year or 5-year undergraduate law programs in India or internationally, with law as a major.
- Students pursuing post-graduate diplomas or short-term certificate courses in law are not eligible.
- Each recognized law school can register one team under these criteria.
Team Composition
- Each team must comprise three members: two speakers and one researcher.
- Any team seeking to modify its composition must notify the Organizing Committee via email at arbitrationmoot@gdgoenka.ac.in. Approval is at the discretion of the Committee.
- The researcher may assume a speaker’s role in unforeseen circumstances, provided prior consent is obtained from the organizers. Failure to notify may lead to disqualification.
