Opportunity Overview
NLSIU is inviting applications from highly qualified individuals who are passionate about teaching, research, and contributing to the academic community for the position of Assistant Professor.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an average of 6 hours of undergraduate or postgraduate instruction per week during the three twelve-week teaching terms throughout the year. Provide constructive feedback on student assignments and assessments.
- Plan and present lectures, courses, and seminars, creating necessary materials such as lecture notes, reading lists, and other resources. This includes contributions to the Professional and Continuing Education department.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members on the relevant subjects to ensure smooth delivery of courses.
- Take on administrative tasks in line with your career stage, which may involve committee participation and other responsibilities.
- Engage actively in the university’s academic community, including governance, intellectual discussions, and related activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must possess a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills are required to support both undergraduate and postgraduate students effectively. Candidates should also be able to work with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve their academic potential.
